I, REFINANCED MY HOME THROUGH AMERIQUEST, AT THE TIME THEY MADE ME AN OFFER I COULDNT REFUSE. I HAD SOME DEBTS SO I WANTED TO USE MY EQUITY TO PAY THEM OFF.
UNFORTUNATELY I WAS TOLD THAT IN ORDER TO QUALIFY I NEED A HIGHER INCOME AND MY HOUSE NEEDS TO APPRAISE FOR MORE THAN WHAT ITS WORTH, THE LENDER TOLD ME DONT WORRY I CAN MAKE THAT HAPPEN. HE HAD A FRIEND WHO OWED HIM A FAVOR. SO HE PUT A LOAN PACKAGE TOGETHER I LOOKED IT OVER AND I TOLD HIM THE MORTGAGE PAYMENT WAS A LITTLE HIGH, HE SAID WELL I PUT ALL YOUR TAXES AND EVERYTHING IN WITH YOUR PAYMENT. I THEN TOLD HIM CAN YOU TRY TO BRING IT DOWN JUST A LITTLE, HE THEN SAID ILL TELL WHAT ILL DO FOR YOU, IF YOU CAN PAY 4 MONTHS ON TIME WITHOUT ANY LATES I WILL REFINANCE YOU AGAIN WAVE YOUR PRE-PAY PENALTY AND LOWER YOUR PAYMENT TO MAYBE HALF, BUT YOU HAVE TO TRUST ME ON THIS. I AM TRYING TO HELP YOU NO ONE ELSE WILL BE ABLE TO. SO WE WAITED AND CALLED BACK IN 4 MONTHS AND THEY TOLD US THERES NOTHING THEY CAN DO WE ARE UNDER CONTRACT TO PAY.WE CAN TRY THERE RETENTION PROGRAM, BUT THEY DENIED US. SO I AM IN PRE FORECLOSURE NOW AND THEY ARE CALLING EVERYDAY. I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO.

How can you take the word of some scumbag AMC rep over the phone like that? Did you request what he offered in writing? If not, shame on you for being so trusting with these forked tongue devils.
I used to work in one of the AMC branches, and some (not all) of these guys will tell you anything to get the loan closed.
Everyone involved, including the Loan Processor's, is under a tremendous amout of pressure to get loans booked and funded.
Ameriquest is a factory and a glorified sweatshop. Believe me, their number one goal is to make money..bottom line! NOT "Do The Right Thing" as they so often profess.
Read all the posts you can muster here, because there's some good advice on how to make some noise and get some help. Be the squeaky wheel that gets the oil.
