On the 15th of August, 2005 I was on the internet next thing I see flashing on my computer screen is I've won a holiday to Orlando, 6 days, Ft Lauderdale, 3 days, Daytona Beach 3 days, and a Cruise to the Bahamas for 3 days and 2 tickets to Disneyland . All this was for an amount of $598USD and I have 60 seconds to call the number on my screen.

I thought this was too good to be true I phoned this number and spoke to a person called Nadira then a Damian, was told the holiday included a 90 minute presentation of time share. Was given all the information sounded pretty good, stupid me I gave my credit card number and paid the $598 didn't think twice.

I was told the package was valid for 18 months from date of purchase and I had 30 days to cancel and get a refund if I changed my mind. I didn't get the package/gift certificate until 30th of October 2005, 10 weeks later. I asked for a refund but was told it was too late to cancel.

Anyway I didn't investigate any further, after the 18 months I asked for an extension of 12 months, was asked to fill out an authorisation to debit $99USD from my credit card which I did. I left it for another 12 months then asked to extend it again, paid another $99 extension fee, now it was valid to March 2009.

I was ready to book my holiday I emailed a Carol Adames from Customer Service and asked if there was accommodation available from 2/6/08 she emailed me back and said the Crusie Admin Fees of $577 would have to be paid first and if I wanted I could upgrade the accomodation in Orlando for another $200USD, she sent me the forms so I could authorise the charge to my credit card, that's when I got suspicious.

I searched this so called holiday and came across this website rippoff I couldn't believe my eyes everybody was saying this is a scam/fraud. I was so upset, I felt like a fool.

I don't know what to do, should I email this Carol from Calypso Cay Resort and ask her what the hell is going on. How can I get a refund of my money $798USD almost $1200AUST.

I found it really hard to believe it was a scam till I read all the reports on this Calypso Cay Resort because all along I was emailing this Carol and she was replying to all my emails and I never got suspicious.

How can I get my money back because it's been so long (3 years)?

If anyone has had the same thing happen to them please post a message.

If you paid your extensions, you have a valid vacation package...just make sure to take it before it expires. I worked for this company filling the reservations and customer complaints and found out quickly how the secondary parties involved were contracted by this company to sell the packages in their name....the problem was that since my name was used so much as the CS Mgr, a lot of the rip off reports were filled mentioning my name....NOT RIGHT!

I was part of this company for a couple of yrs and can say first hand that some of the "rip off" reports were filed under MY name b/c I was the Manager

IT SUCKS TO BE INVOLVED W/ A COMPANY THAT HOLDS THEMSELVES TO SUCH LOW STANDARDS... Please see your terms and conditions and keep them close...this is the ONLY thing that is going to save your package...and I think you can call the main number and talk to the NOW Mgr: 407 997 1600
DONT CALL THE 800 #. THEY under staff teribly and cannot keep up with the amt of calls that come through leaving people on hold for more than half an hour at a time. RENE ROMAN is the Director of Marketing who controls how these packages are sold and how they are fulfilled. LUCK TO YOU.
