There are many things that I can reveal about this company, but I will only voice two for now pending my court dates. I first of all got ripped off from Doug Davis, founder of Ameritrain when I decided that I didn't want to work for them any longer.

I was the Director of Admissions for the Charlotte location when I got a call 10 minutes before I was scheduled to leave for the day on May 29th. I was told that they didn't have a need for me any longer because they just found out that they couldn't sell anymore there due to not being licensed in the state of NC.

With no notice or warning, they were just going to let me go. I asked if there was any compensation, and they said not, but you can go and run the school in Atlanta. I was owed Over $2000 in commissions and knew I wouldn't get it if I didn't work until the end of the following month. (they pay commissions the end of the following month for whatever I sold in the previous Month)...So I decided to go to Atlanta for the month of June so I would recieve the commissions that were owed to me. On the day I was to get paid, I never recieved my paycheck.

I contacted Doug Davis (President and founder), and told him, and he said that he would overnight it to me, but wanted to know if I was going to keep working there, I told him that I couldn't give him that commitment but expect to get the money owed to me. I never got it, He told my wife that he is not a man of integrity when she called, and then told me to go F*** myself.....really professional huh?

I found out that he also did it to many others, many in which filed a suit witht the department of labor, and then got their money owed. He also had to pay a hefty fine from them as well. This is my next step too.

I also wanted to expose one of the imoral things they did which is against the law. We were sent between 10 and 15 resumes that were filtered and printed off of Monster.com, for individuals who were seeking employment in the IT industry and were not certified. This is "Spamming" and is illegal. We were to bring them in thinking that they were coming in for an interview. Little did they know there were no job opportunities and there sole reason for coming was so I could tell them they aren't qualified and need to get certified if they want to be in the IT industry. They told me on a number of times that they could get in trouble for doing this, so be careful on how you approach it.

I could go on about some other things, like how they lie about all their instructors being fully certified themselves, and offering 100% hands on training, student to hire scams etc. But the other things will come out through some of the students I have spoken with to inform them of their misrepresentation.

Looks like I'll never get my money now!

It seems that in the past week, the little weasels of Ameritrain, snook into town with a moving truck and got rid of any trace of the school ever being there. The students were not even told of the closing, they showed up for class and had to find out by being locked out of an empty school. The Vice president of Ameritrain actually came down himself from PA, to help with the shadey act and slithered away in the darkness!

It doesn't seem like a company that can do something like this, will be around too much longer. If they claim bankrupsy everyone is out their money, especially the students, and alot of them will still be obligated to continue paying their loan back to the finance company! My loss is nothing compared to a $20,000 debt! I don't understand how anyone could live with knowing the heartache they have caused so many people, and willingly doing something like this. I should have realized something was going on when I got call after call and letter after letter from companies like Airborne Express (who cut off our service), our Phone Company (who shut off our phones), our internet service provider (who we lost service from), the vending company (who stopped delivering the coffee and snacks)....etc. All telling me that we haven't paid our bill, some told me they haven't been paid for months and months. Everytime I called the Vice President, he told me the check was in the mail or it was being taken care of, but then I'd get another call or letter in the mail for non-payment! I should have gotten the hint and left way back then!
