Complaint Review: Ameritrust Financial

Ameritrust Financial It was supposed to be a Visa, not a shop by catalog card. I was displeased when I received the card in the mail. Now I'm out of $200.00 which could fix my car or by shoes or clothes for my children. Dunedin Florida

I did received the vouchers they promised and the card. But it was for shop by catalog only. When I looked at the catalog I wouldn't by the stuff at a flea market, much less at Ameritrustshop. The lied and deceived me and a lot of other people also.

I just hope my bank will help me get the refund.

I love the people that want to build up thier credit, but hate the fact that's not a MC/VISA, AMEX, etc, , , Before you judge any financial corp, stop and and ask yourself this, are they providing the service there stating, is your credit score going up/down, that's what you need to ask yourself. If your credit is important to you and only you, than go forward with the program, remember you have been turned down in the past for many reasons, if any CCC is willing to give you credit go for it. I've had this problem in the past. Today I can truly say it was worth it for me.

PS- Everyone like's to hear negativity for any corp, let's get real and move forward

The conditions of use link on their website makes a few things very clear:

1. It is an account to purchase goods from their website and their mail order catalog - nothing else.

2. There is a one time, non-refundable, fee of $200 to set the account up.

3. There is a $35 early termination fee if you close the account before 3 months have elapsed.

IMO, these are all good reasons to stay away from this.

As with any transaction, folks have to read the "terms" of the agreement. I hope your bank will refund the monies, but I don't think they will.
