I applied for a couple credit cards online, soon I got a call from Ameritrust. They were going to give me a credit card with $2,000 credit, low interest rates, and all that.
Since I have been trying to build my credit history, I decided to get it. They started asking for my name, adress, it was all ok. Then they asked me for my account number to withdraw $200.00 for the fees. I doubted it, but gave them my new account's number. Then she asked me for my social security. I told her, I don't give my ss over the phone. She asked couple unimportant questions, and then asked for my mother's maiden name, I asked her "what for?". She told me, to use it as password. I told her, I am not going to give this info to her. She said "Let's use your favorite color then". I said OK.
After about a week, they took $100.00 off of my account at BAnk Of The West. I just checked my account status, on the 9/1/06 they took another $100.00.

It didn't look too real to me, so I did a little research online about Ameritrust, and realised I was ripped off!
I tried to call them, cancel my cc and get the $200.00 back, but nobody ever answer my call, and when I leave a message, they don't call back.

Please, help me with this. I am a victim of fraud, and I have been trying to fix my credit history, and dispute all the checks written on my name, and now this happened.
I should have known Ameritrust is a ripp-off!
