Comfortable Care Dental Group, apparently managed by "Heartland Dnetal Care" 1-866-544-5100.

7 months after a visit and after my insurance paid the bill in full, these slimeballs have sent me an alleged balance due for under $20. There is nothing on the bill to indicate what the bill is for, and since they have not rendered services for 7 months, to now hear of a bill is ridiculous. Even more ridiculous, they have sent the account to collections, I have a collector from Heartland calling me and this bill was paid in full by insurance.

I have never paid a bill late in my life. There is no explanation for this charge of $17.40, nor is the dental office returning my call.

I am posting this to warn all others away from these people. To receive a bills 7 months after a visit is ridiculous, to be sent to collections is ridiculous, and the fact there is absolutely no documention on this bill for $17.40 makes me believe they are not only in error, but probably scamming every single one of their patients in the same way.

Similar Issue with Dental Group

I too have a similar issue with them and feel they are a rip off also.  I had dental work in April of 2011.  One of the receptionists there told me my cost would be about $900 and the rest was covered under the insurance.  That was for a few fillings and 2 bridges.  I kept getting insurance statements stating that they didn't covera anything and nothing was submitted correctly.  I showed them the statement.  I didn't get much of a response other than, "It's taken care of.".  One of the receptionists told me that she has submitted the claim to the insurance company several times and there is nothing else she can do.  The bill is for $961.38 and I payed over $900 already.  That's like taking your car to a mechanic and he tells you the cost of repairs is $900.  He's not authorized to make you pay another $900.  If I had of known about the bill I wouldn't have gotten the work done.  On April 23rd, 2013 I received a letter from a lawyer in Cleveland OH stating that I owe the creditor for the amount.  I had a cleaning last November.  I got the insurance statement and bill 4 months later for $20.  You don't wait that long to send out a statement.  Do not do dental work with these people.  Thank you.

That was timely info!

I'm looking at Dentists in the bradenton area.

You need to sue them for the damage to your credit.

Copy the bill and send to your insurance co with a letter of the fraudulent billing.

Get a statement from your insurance stating it was paid in full and send to the collector.
