This man Amir Kalde took every bit of money we had saved for a home that was supposedly in livable condition, and only needed minor repaires, and has left us and our 6 young children homeless... The home had 3 Large holes in the roof and had been sitting in this condition for 7 years according to the neighbors. The home has rottend buckling floors, and is covered in black Mold from all the rain coming in. This home has no water, electric or any other utiliry services available to it due to all the damages from the roof!!! This man has left 2 adults and 6 children ages 13, 10, 8, 6, 1, and 2 months without a home... He cares nothing about you or your family do not let him convince you otherwise!!!

Take him to small claims court

If he is holding your deposit money and will not return it, take him to small claims court. Make sure you have all of your documentation ready:  lease, proof of payment, photos etc.

One question:  if the roof had these holes for the last 7 years, why did you rent it?  That is why you have to see a property before giving any money at all to the landlord or landlord's agent. The very first thing you have to do is a walk through before you give money and before you sign anything. Take photos. Then when the lease is up and you have vacated, take photos again so you can accurately show the condition of the property as you left it. This way you have proof of condition if a landlord tries to keep your deposit without merit.
