I was in my first and only car accident when I was 19 years old on(date). I never was contacted by American Medical Response or even sent a bill. I first found out about the debt when a collection agency by the name of Bay Area Credit had contacted me. They wouldnt tell me what the debt was for and was very rude. They spoke with a very strong accent and was very hard to understand. I thought it was fraud at first . Someone was asking me for a large amount of money and wouldnt even tell me who they were or what it was for. My mom and I told them that we werent going to pay anything until we found out who they were and what they were calling about. We would not give any of our personal information over the phone. They finally told us that the debt was with AMR. We wanted to fully research and contact AMR to figure out what was going on. We explained to AMR that we had not received a billing statement from them. After we contacted AMR we paid the collection agency in full.

This collection shows on my credit history. I have been having a hard time dealing with things that need to check my credit such as loans, credit cards, and so on. I had recently goggled Bay Area Credit and to my surprise there are many horror stories just like mine. They had the same issues with the no notification or contact from AMR and the rudeness and harassment from the collection agency. I dont understand why AMR sent it straight to collections I didnt receive anything had no knowledge of this. Bay Area Credit had my information to contact me, so if they sold my information to the collection agency how would they not have any info to contact me themselves before they sent it to a collection agency. This incident has been following me and its not my fault I would like this to be taken off my credit report/history.
