I was charged $61.02 twice for service that i didn't order. using your site I was able to call CEO Gary Hickocks on his personal cell phone (310) 614-8900. He gave me double talk about how it is a legitimate service and tried to explain to me that I authorized it by ordering a product on line. That purchasing an unrelated product on line automatically signed me up for their service and that i did have the chance to cancel.

he took my name and number a promised to refund me. I will update in a week to see if he did.

CEO Gary Hickocks was prompt in returning my calls and following up on the status. I was able to ge a full refund on all transactions from this company. I don't think he appreciated that his personal cell phone number was being published, but I didn't appreciate that my credit card was used without my permission.

These transactions, I have learned, were initiated by my purchases at Tiger Direct. I have written the company to inform them of my complaint. Needless to say I will not be making any more purchases through them.

I still do not know what service was supposed to be provided by AMR LD, nor do I understand why I would be charged 5 times in a two month period for this service. I also do not understand how they are able to charge my credit card without my permission.

But I am glad I found out that Tiger Direct was the offending company and that they did issue a full refund.

AMR LD did refund my money

I found that TigerDirect.com was one of the offenders of this scam. They are passing on your credit card numbers to AMR LD or Gordon Group or US Phones or MCI Worldcom.

It is sneaky and unethical
