AMS Billing Service Irresponsible, Ineffectual, Rip-Off Company Sarasota, Florida
This company took over the billing for water, sewer, trash and pest service in my apartment complex in May. At that time my monthly bill increased double!
I spoke to Daniel at AMS when this situation first occurred and he told me that all his company did was set the amount of the payment and send out the invoice.
I was told that we were going to be assessed a fee based on the size of our apt. (square footage) not on the actual amount of water usage. When I protested that this was unfair because depending on the numbers of people living in an apt., usage could vary considerably.
Nonetheless, he stated that this method was the one the property owners had decided on and that is the way it would work.
The apartment complex (Knoll Crest in Homewood, AL) receives a bill for the whole complex and then divides it up amongst the tenants. This is completely unfair as not only are individuals living in an apartment discounted ( one person or more) but the bill also includes water that is part of the property's expense, i.e., the laundromat (8 washers) included and landscaping services.
My bill is due on the first of the month and was usually received by the 18th of the month prior to it's due date. For the last two months I have not received the bill until the first day of the month it is due.
All efforts to reach Daniel at AMS are futile. I left four voice mail messages yesterday, contacted them via email at their web site and still have heard from no one!
This company is the go-between that serves as a lackey for property management. They do the bidding of property management, collect a fee and ignore the tenants!
