I checked my balance on Monday and was given two balances - my balance and then my available balance after using my debit card. Then on Tuesday when I checked my balance I found I had $180.00 in NSF charges due to an automatic draft being posted first when the available balance did not even cover the amount.

When I called to complain I was told that they always debit the largest amounts first (are we surprised). When asked if they could help me out they stated they were sorry and could do nothing to help me even though my available balance of $40.00 something odd dollars on Monday allowed them to clear a $98.00 check at midnight on Monday. Does this make sense.

Well I am told that they have no control over when a merchant submits a debit item! I thought debit items came out automatically that is why I use that choice. So in essence the $98.00 draft should have bounced thereby not incurring but one charge of $30.00 for a bounced check but instead they paid the $98.00 first so they could scam me out of $180.00 in bad check fees.

DO NOT bank with this institution. They have several lawsuits pending for fraud and other situations involving ripoffs. Find another bank or better yet a credit union.
