Amy Heitland Another Lame Horse Sold with no recourse Mason City Iowa
Bought a horse from the Billings Livestock Commission in September of 2012 from Amy Heitland...I was so excited to bring him home and make him mine...I noticed there were only front shoes on the horse and when I asked both Amy and her son why that was they responded by telling me the ferrier (a family member) didn't have time to finish the job before the sale. Honestly, I didn't think much of it until MY ferrier came to pull the front shoes and trim him up. I was shocked and horrified to find out this horse had foundered and had been foundered for quite some time. Knowing it was a week after the sale and I had no recourse, I had to suck it up and keep the horse. SHAME ON YOU, Amy Heitland...SHAME ON YOU!!!!
