Ancestry.com Read the Terms and Conditions Before You Sign Up! Provo Utah
I signed up for their World Explorer membership for $34.95 a month with the intention of subscribing for 1 month due to the cost of the service. My mistake was trusting them and not reading the terms and conditions which state that you need to cancel 2 days prior to your renewal date.
My second mistake was counting on them to show me some grace for canceling one day late. Being that it was a Labor Day weekend it unfortunately slipped my mind. Thinking that they would be understanding, I called to see if they would credit me back the $34.95. They refused! Not only that but the customer service rep was rude and sarcastic. Obviously this is not something that you want to put up with when a company is being mercenary with you.
If you want a site that isn't very useful and their customer service is rude, this is the place to sign up!

I am pleased with the outcome of this complaint. I want to give credit to Ancestry.com for refunding the money for the month that was in dispute. I especially want to thank the ripoffreport website for providing this valuable service!

I've used their service and found it a good one and they are honest in their dealings. They can't help it if you can't/don't read/comprehend well. NO Ripoff here....this one's all on YOU.
