Complaint Review: AncestrybyDNA

AncestrybyDNA Scam-I was misled to believe I had used Ancestry.com. The report they provided was global at best and did not drill down to the specific info that Ancestry.com advertises. Internet

I purchased a DNA kit through Groupon that I thought was Ancestry.com. I received the kit, completed it, returned my saliva sample as instructed. I received my results and immediately was confused and dissatisfied with the results to the point where I emailed them as I was sure that I wasn't reading it right, and thought maybe I was missing something. No response to first email, I sent a second one. They responded back to me that "You must be confused, we don't advertise on tv and we won't connect you with other possible relatives, nor will we provide you with specifics about your nationality". It was ONLY at this point did I realize I had been duped by this company that's name is only differtiated from Ancestry.com by the word"by". I just threw $69 bucks out the window. RIPOFF!!
