Ordered a part (power door latch, 1999 Beetle). It came to me with broken parts and seemed to be not functioning right. Installed it to see if the power supply would cause it to work right and it did not. I sent it back via USPS (no tracking). Called the business a week later wondering if they had received the part. They supposedly had not yet, so I requested a different part and they denied me and said to wait until the other part came back before ordering anything else. It was more than obvious the owner had a bad attitude towards returned parts. So I called back two weeks later and they still had not received the part so I asked to talk to the owner. Was totally polite and just wanted to tell him my circumstance: that we didn't have a tracking number, that the part came to me damaged and I sent it back in the SAME box with the same address and packing material the NEXT day, that I wrote down all the items that were damaged and not working when I had received it, and that I tested it out installed just to see if it would suffice. The owner was abrupt and showed no concern. He stated that since he hadn't received the part he could not refund me and made no attempt to look in his inbox or return lists, etc. I asked him if he would refund since it came broken in the first place and he got impatient and sounded angry and said until he had the part, he couldn't refund me (cut it short basically). I understand its pretty trusting to refund someone without a part, but at the same time, to keep a good business going you would think he could have refunded half now and the other half later or tried a little bit to win my business back. How do we both know that the box isnt sitting on the side somewhere in his building, lost in a mess? The chances of the package being lost with USPS are slim to none right? It just didn't seem good-business-like to treat me the way he did two times in a row. Made me feel more like the guy could have been holding the part right in his hand and saw there was no tracking number and just lied through his teeth to not refund me. Even though I hope that that isn't the case, it sure wasnt pleasant getting denied business the first time because they DETEST returns and then being shoved to the side the second time. No fun. I would definitely pass on the word to not ORDER stuff from them, but to be there themselves when they take out the part. To inspect it thoroughly before buying it. And to make sure you get your refund back when you're standing in their office.
