Gracie was attatcked by a dog INSIDE my house thru a very unfortunate set of circumstances
I was able to get him off of her but not before she suffered a broken jaw
it was late on a Sat afternoon and i could not find anyone willing to take me up to Neilly to get her fixed up
she had a lot of bleeding from her mouth but she was concious and i did not see any other trauma
a few hours later i was able to get a ride to Tellos home but he was not there
Sunday i was not able to reach him by phone
She seemed stable was not getting any worse and besides there was nothing else i could do on a sunday
i did notice she had an infection in her mouth but she still had to wait till morning
i got up to Neily just as Tello was leaving
he said he would be right back that he had an emergency so i guess my cat was chopped liver
45 minutes later he returns i told him i thought her jaw was broken and she had an infection
he agreed w/me and then pointed to something in her mouth and said it was a tumor then said it was a hematoma
it turned out that it was really an abcess which he never mentioned`even thou it balloned to the outside of her mouth as big as a golfball and really sped up her demise
he said to leave her w/him and that i could pick her up the next morning so he could put her on iv fluids and do the surgery
i was more than a bit concerned after what happened to Baby Monster but what choice did i have
i had some business to do in Neily and stopped by the clinic b4 i went back home to make sure she was still alive
he said she was comming out of the anesthesia and that she was ok
i picked her up at the end of the day the following day and she seemed to be ok little did i know then that he never opened up
the abcess to drain it and that her jaw was not set correctly
i got her home where she was drinking copious amounts of water which really concerned me i did see her trying to eat from her kibble dish a few times she was hungry
i got her drink some condensed enriched milk bad idea diarhea and i mixed up some canned sardines the consistancy of canned food w/al ittle milk and raw egg and she did eat that for a few days then she would not eat anymore
i also noticed an odor from her mouth that smelled like an infection
i took her back up there and he said she was in pain and gave her an injection for pain and some to take home w/me i told him her mouth smelled infected and he said there was no infection but he gave her an antibiotic injection anyway
took her home she was really loopy from the pain meds but still would not eat
i had been force feeding her whatever i could but she had diarreah
took her back up their b/c she was still not eating and was dehydrated
b/c he is such a control freak he insists on keeping her overnight to give her fluids rather than sending me home so i can give her subq which works just as well
i also once again said i wanted blood work and he screamed at me that nothing was wrong w/her liver or kidneys
he just did not want me to know she was in kidney failure b/c of his neglect
the last time i left her w/him to give her iv fluids i got her back looking worse than when i left her he did not feed her anything
the next day is when i saw the golfball sized abcess on her left jaw i took the largest big needle i had here and aspirated pus came out so igotout asmuch asicould
you could tell she felt much better but an abcess needs to be drained or they keep filling up
this is when i desperately started searching for a different vet in David Panama but it was prolly already too late

After discovering a large mass in the middle of Baby Monsters chest i knew i had to get him to a vet ASAP
i had usedTello b4 and was not terribly impressed but the other guy in Canoas had a very bad reputation and really there was no one else,. living on the Frontera does not give you a lot of options for small animals
The last timei had brought a cat to him Ms Kitty a 20 something black Persian she was on her 9th life
he did not seem to concerned treated her roughly and had no rapport w/her
i really do not think he even likes cats
Baby Monster was a little feisty and Tello did not like that
he shoved the needle w/the anesthesia into his neck w/a violent force he was obviously pissed off
he did the biopsy which only took a few minutes and then hurried us out w/out making sure Baby Monster was
awake from the anestheia
i had to take a fully anesthesized cat home on the bus
when we got home he was still out cold
when he did finally come to he headed straight for under the bed
he was never the same after that
Baby Monster had been acting normally eating as usual and being his same affectionate self
If i had not found that d**n thing and taken him to that quack i would have had more time w/him
I knew it must be cancer but that is not what killed him
he climbed under the bed and my attempts to drag him out did no good even thou he was the kind of cat that craved my attention
Baby Monster died the next night from pulmonary edema as a result of being under for too long
He really suffered as his lungs filled w/fluid and he struggled to breath
