Andrew Amorelli Software Engineering Fraud & Breach of Contract Boston, Portland Massachusetts, Maine
As of July 1, 2019, this individual is currently being served a demand notice to return the money he has taken towards a fixed-price contract due to him abandoning the project prior to completion. This individual has constantly lied about deliverables, fabricated stories as to why things were delayed, caused irreversible changes and damage to the existing codebase, and after being paid on every milestone as agreed upon in the contract, he is now holding hostage 11 files that are crucial to the project he has left hanging while demanding the final payment that is only to be released upon delivery.
This individual has taken north of $17,000 only to give us something that is incomplete that we cannot do anything with. As a startup, that is close to all the money we had. We fully intend to recoup every dollar plus treble damages.
As of now, he has access to our codebase and the missing files. Any company or organization that hires this individual to perform contractual work or provides him with an employment offer will be subject to our legal claims as purchasing intellectual property that does not belong to him to begin with.
