To anyone considering working with this company:

 - The franchise owner, Andrew Hosking,  breaks employment contracts with his staff on a whim - he does what he wants and what benefits him.   I worked in a sales capacity for him and he refused to pay me my pay check for July 1st despite his obilgation as per the terms of our contract.  Worse yet, he gave me one day's notice and he simply said he did not want to pay me until July 15th (I had been working there one month on a half-time basis, came with an extraordinary sales resume and was doing a very good job despite being so new). I had rent due the next day, little mouths to feed and no pay check and that is a terrible predicament to put any employee in.

Not only does Mr. Hosking have no respect for his legal/contractual obilgations, his sense of Corporate Social Responsibility to his employees/contractors is ZERO - no humanity, no concern and no thoughtulness.  Clearly honesty, integrity, good business ethics and morality are not his values or his practices in his franchise of SENIOR HELPERS.

Apparently 5 of his care-givers staff had resigned in one fell swoop this past week.  I might add that his extreme micro-management style is stunning - he is always trying to catch you off guard.  He admit he is trying to check up on you!  To try stop the pestering, I was giving him daily sales reports for 1/2 hour per day.  And, if he is busy during your 1/2 allotted appointment time, he then asks for a written sales report for that day, springing that on you at 5:30 in the afternoon.  That is so frustrating and unproductive - you have lost the 1/2 hour waiting for him and then the reports are long emails and they take 1/2 hour to write if you are conscientious and a busy sales person.  So as a part-time contract, he has ruined 25% of my day that I could have been selling.

Save your self and yoru self esteem and DO NOT WORK for this person at this particular franchise.  Although  SENIOR HELPERS seems to be a wonderful company, you are only as good as your franchise owner in any one city.
