Andrew Radford Commonwealth Distributors White Van scam speakers ripoff North Vancouver British Columbia
I was approached by two guys in their mid to late 20s in a nice looking white SUV and they asked me if I was interested in buying a speaker set for really cheap. They explained to me that they were speaker installers and that there was a corporate mistake made and that they somehow ordered 2 SETS of speakers instead of 2 PAIRS, leaving them with an extra set. They said that they needed to get rid of it somehow and that they were willing to let go of it for really cheap.
They then showed me the LCD tvs and other expensive home equipment in the back to confirm that they were actual home system installers and then took out a guitar magazine with the Advertisement to show me that the Kirsch K3 speakers retailed for over $2000. I offered to write them a check for $300 but they said that the previous guy offered them a check for $600 but that the check was from Arizona and that they didn't want to deal with it.
They repeatedly confirmed the legitimacy of the speakers and showed me that the guitar magazine was completely real with all of the information right there. At last I told them all i could afford was $200 and after thinking about it they accepted the offer and showed me that everything was brand new. When i got home and set up the system I realized that the speakers were just junk and not worth more than $50. I am very pissed and want my money back.
