Do Not buy any horses from Angela Jones, aka Angela Lawson, Tiffany, Eugene, Lynn XX, Joe(y) Lawson from the McMinnville, Morrison or Smartt, TN area.

I had responded to an online add on Horseclicks for a beautiful mare and spoke with Angela, aka Lynn on several occassions for hours at a time.

I was looking for a safe, almost bombproof TW to help restore my confidence in riding as I have had a multitude of injuries from young, greenbroke horses.  I explained my needs and was assured by Lynn that this would be the perfect horse for me.  She claimed that she has owned the horse since it was 6 months old and that she had taken it out on trail rides - even night rides - every week and that very little would spook this horse.  She even claimed that her neice (8 years old) who had autism, rode this horse without issue and that I couldn't find a more laid back animal.  I asked why she was selling her and was told that she no longer could ride due to past injuries and that it wasn't fair to the horse to just stand around.

Lynn was coming my direction within the next couple of weeks, and was willing to bring the horse out to me - we agreed upon a price and I was looking forward to having this perfect animal home.

During our conversations, she mentioned that the she owned the father of this horse and that he was for sale also if I would like to have a slightly older horse - as they were pasture buddies and she didn't want to seperate them if possible.  She sent me a picure and I thought that it might be nice to have a pair so that my friends with little riding experience could enjoy the trails with me.

3 weeks came and went and no horse - only excuses as to why she couldn't bring the horse out - so I decided to make the trip to TN to pick up the horses - When I got there, the paperwork that she had told me was completed - WAS NOT!!!!  There was no vet check, no coggins, no registration (the mare was advertised as a fully registered TW).  I had no choice at this point but to load up the horses since I had driven so far and take a chance with no paperwork.

The horses that I got home - not kid friendly, not bombproof, SPOOKY at the simplist of noise including ATV's and birds!!!!  (I was told that the horses use to flush out quail) - More like the quail flushed out the horse - One horse has had such a bad abcess that the hoof is split all the way up and will take months if not a year to grow out - if ever.  The mare is underweight and skiddish.

Then, I find out that these two horses came out of the livestock auction and the mare is still being advertised under another website, under a different name and different registration.  When my friend called the other day to inquire about the horse, instead of being told that the horse was sold, she was told the exact same story as I was, and that if she was interested in her, Lynn was heading towards Nebraska and could deliver the horse in the next couple of weeks - Watch out - she will have an accident over the weekend and injur her leg in a Quad accident - then have to go in for surgery and will not be able to find anyone to bring the horse to you.  She will refer you to USHIP for a quote and then, when you don't have the animal picked up within the week, demand that you do - She will not provide the necessary paperwork - even though you are told that it is done.

I even went so far as to call the vet that she supposidly used to get copies of the paperwork - and they informed me that they had not seen these two horses.

Please - stay away from her and her KID BROKE, GENTLE, BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, ANYONE CAN RIDE HORSES!!!!!   SHE IS A LIAR AND WILL DO NOTHING BUT TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Mary,

Angela Jones has been ripping people off exactly as she did you.  There are so many reports on the internet about her horse trading/selling scams!!  Her daughter Tiffany is involved too.

Your story is what she has done to many people  buying a horse from her.  Auction horses being sold as "Kid broke, Confidence building, 4h, saddle club, horses". And she states the horses are her daughters, or her personal horse.  She uses the " I am injured can no longer ride." scam alot.  Now she has just added the niece with autism riding her horses as a way to get people to believe the horse she is selling is broke.  She probably does not even have a niece with autism.

These lies are ways to get people  to buy a horse that they would not buy if they knew the true background of the horse.  She knows that she has you, when you drive many miles to TN to pick up the horse. Thats why she never has the vet and registration paperwork.  So she does not have to spend money to have a vet check, or pay the fee for registration.  She knows the buyer will leave with the horse.  And that is more money in her pocket. She has a farrier put shoes on to cover up infections in the horses hooves.  So the buyer does not see how bad the infections are.

She has even taken a money order from a buyer in TX and cashed it.  She did not supply the horse or the money back.  She has done this to many people.  Taken payment on a horse that she was to have shipped to the buyer.  She does not setup the shipping, and the buyer will get suspicious and drive to TN to get the horse - or Angela Jones will refuse the shipper, if the buyer sends a shipping company.  There is a complaint on Uship where Angela Jones kept refusing the shipper the buyer sent.
She is trying to keep peoples money.  Knowing if she does not answer the phone or certified mail, the buyer will feel there is no way to contact her and she will get to keep their money.

Angela Jones is committing fraud.  In many ways!!!

She has no care for the danger she is putting people and /or their kids in with these auction horses.
