In March of 2018 i saw an ad for a pleasure riding english/western horse on a equine sales website Dreamhorse  in SC

The ad was placed by Angela Langston who is a horse dealer mostly sales and operates under the name Barrelhorses.us , formerly known as Carolina Sport Horses. I am from New York and was searching for the right horse and traveling to SC with my friend and professional trainer. We arrived at Langston Farm and were shown severa lhorses ,tried 4 all were wel ltrained and very easy to ride in a small metal pen that they are obviously schooled in. Some looked healthier than others ,the living conditions are a bit rough there the horses are not living in the healthiest way possiable. We returned the next day ,went on a trail ride and selected our favoite one ,who happened to loose a shoe . I left a $500.00 deposit. We scheduled a local Vet to examin the horse a few days later. The report stated the horse was slightly off on the right front but otherwise seemed healthy, except for some minor arthritis in both hocks  and a roughing of the medial splint bones on both front legs, which showed up in an xray. The vet went back a week later to re-check if there was a change after shoeing ,he was still off right rear and frontat the trot. The vet did not reccomend buying the horse ,he felt we could be "hauling a problem to NY". I had been looking a long time and loved the horse ,it had a great disposition and was very suitable for my job ,which is light ring work and mostly trail riding. My vet in NY looked at the report and xrays and felt the horse would be sound .

We had him in NY at a very professionally run barn that I have kept a horse in for 20years , for three months. We tried everything, time off, bute, differnt saddles. He was fine for a few light rides and then would be lame . We tried nerve blocking and that was inconcusive. The only way was to do an MRI which requires hospitilazation and is costly. After a huge expenses and a tremrndous amount of disapointment he went baxk to Angela Langston. She would not refund the $9,500.00 I paid for the horse ,offered $4,ooo.00 credit towards another one of her horses and after I accepted to have her take him back She agreed to pay the $1,000. shipping cost wich was with a friend of hers so she probably got a better price.

It is tempting ,her horses are well trained ,nice horses are hard to find ,but I dont think she is reputable and I am sure other people have had similar experiences . This is why I chose to share my experience.
