Yesterday I went into this pet store to look at the bird foods. I wandered over to the birds to see what kinds they had there and that is when I noticed the horrible conditions of the animal cages. Every bird cage was dirty and covered in waste, the parakeet cage had brown water for them to drink. I looked at every bird cage and it was the same thing. It looks like no one ever cleans these cages. I was so upset I told the woman up front that the budgie cage has dirty water, it looked like it was not changed in months... they did not look like they had a healthy diet either, food bowls on the bottom and knocked over. I could not stand the sight, I felt so bad for them I had to leave.

I know it may be hard, but when you confront them with a certain attitude or vibe, you may be putting them on notice that they will soon be getting a visit from animal control, and to correct the problem as soon as you walk out the door. If AC doesn't see it, it will be a ' complaint unfounded, no violations observed ' type deal. Put the number to your local AC in your phone, whenever you see a violation, or something you believe to be, walk out and call as soon as you are far enough away. AC will show up soon to inspect. If it's bad enough, or if it happens often enough, they will get cited, and/or fined, and it can cause alot of problems for them.

UNDER STATE LAW AN ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER MUST INVESTIGATE ALL NEGLECT CLAIMS.

MAYBE THEY WILL FOLLOW STATE STATUTES-IF NOT THEY WILL RECIEVE SUMMONS

AND STATE FINES
