I took items to Ann's Resale (Longmont, CO) in the middle of February 2007 a week or so before moving to Maryland. I asked if the check would be mailed to me and was told, Absolutely. So I gave the woman my new address. I called near the end of May and was told that items had sold but that no one had written down my request to have the check mailed. So she took my name and address again and said it would be mailed within the next few weeks. I didnt receive anything, so at the end of June, I called again and was told they would send it to me in when they wrote their next round of checks.

I tried calling them in July and found out that theyre now closed! The message gave no forwarding information. It simply said they would mail out tax receipts and that people should not call Prudential because they do not know about the store's closing (apparently there was a prudential sign in the window). I then checked the website, and there is nothing there either!

I am completely disappointed and frustrated with the business. I found an email address, emailed them, and had it returned. I then mailed a letter to their old address on Main street hoping that it would be forwarded. Over a month later i got the letter back with a stamp that said there was no forwarding address! My items should have been sold or donated by the end of March. It is inexcusable to have to wait this long and to be forced to chase down my fair share of money. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, but because Ann's was listed as "out of business", they could not do anything. HELP! I doubt I'm the only person who has been ripped off!
