I purchased a pool from Pool Town of San Antonio in July of 1999, which is a subsidiary of the Houston Pool Town. I spent $10,000 with this store by purchasing a spa, a gazebo for the spa, a deck, and an above ground pool.

The pool bottom is very rocky (I was assured that it would be smooth if I purchased this "special underlay"). The gazebo's sunroof was never bolted down and when heavy winds blew it off they told me I would have to pay them $35.00 trip charge to come fix something that should have been done right in the first place. The deck is not compliant to codes and the boards are warped due to the use of very cheap lumber and labor.

The gazebo itself has slats that have come loose due to poor craftsmanship. I have been told that if I saw no problems with the pool within 14 days of completion that they will charge for any work they come out to do. Come one, in reality, how would you know within 14 days that the roof was going to blow off of the gazebo or that the boards to the pool would warp?

I called to speak with a manager, but I get the run around that he is either not there or I am sent, via phone calls, to other offices. I think they should make good on this, as my work was done by them less than a year ago in 1999 and the defects became apparent within 6 months. I suppose a law suit will be what it takes to get them to live up to their promises and the warranties. Not to mention a complaint with the Better Bussiness Bureau and a call to the local TV station to come have a look at the workmanship done by Pool Town of San Antonio.

The installers were extremely overworked, but were treated with dignity and fed and kept with plenty of fluids while working on my project. You would think I would have received the same respect that I bestowed on them while working at my residence. Then people wonder why they are treated disprectfully by the next customer.......word of mouth is the best advertisement.....you don't do a good job, your bussiness will fail and that is all there is to it.

I intend to tell everyone who will listen the horrible way I was treated by Pool Town in San Antonio.
