as a former employee for this shady company. let me tell you how it really is. Their sales team LIES right off the get go. All they want is the sale since they are not paid an hourly wage but 10.00 a sale. They DO NOT have spanish speaking operators nor any other foreign language operator they may promise you. They have one woman who will only do it if its a doctor or an attorney, an emergency and if the origonal operator who took the call honestly cant get a name or phone number from the caller.

If they do promise you something its a LIE.  They do not have "personalized teams" to handle your calls. everyone is trained the same way. You get 4 hours of listening 4 hours of putting people on "hold" and then you are thrown to the wolves. We have had people go take a break in their first day and NEVER come back. They maybe have right now about 10 operators total.  They DO NOT have an office located in every city of the USA but you are told that they do . They are physically located in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Which is about 33 miles from the canadian border. Once you put in your two week notice your schedule is changed with out notice or reasoning other than "this is when we need you". When in all reality all they do is bully you to get you to quit.  They attempt to take a way breaks and lunches. They have even tried to take away "bathroom breaks". Common now.. who really does that? Those that speak up and try to speak their mind to make things better are shot down immediately.

Their human resources manager is a joke. They have one supervisor who will jump in when its busy and actually help out.The other walks around screaming at people to pick up the phone. The newest one was promoted because their saturday supervisor quit and they needed someone to take controll. Supposedly she was the only one that volunteered. ANyone in their right mind would not be a supervisor there nor an employee. This is just the top of the iceberg.

If you are smart you will not work here nor will you bring your business to this company. They have far to many accounts and not enough operators to handle the calls. You will be told that the average wait time will be less than 1 minute. which is a lie. On any given day its about 10 minutes. They rest lines coming back saying "im sorry, we will be with you in just a moment". Which initially puts you back at the bottom of the list.  I know that the owner will reply to this and say "that I am a discrunteled employee, and that i must not have done my job very well" or make every excuss in the book as to why this report is "not their fault".

Truth is.. he is a shady business owner with shady business tatics. He does not care about you, or your business nor does he care about his employees. If he did he would do things to make it better, not make it worse. If you are smart you will avoid this place at all costs.

As a CURRENT employee of this company for over three years, I find the previous comment by a person who claims to be a former employee not only ridiculous but outright lies.  Alot of what they are saying about the work environment and service we provide is simply not true.  

 

Answering Specialists is a growing company with a great work environment and is one of the higher paying jobs in our community.  They do have a strict "NO DRUGS" work environment and will occasionally have an unannounced drug screening.  And yes, some people left because they failed the drug screening.  But then those people weren't doing their job well either, making it harder on the rest of us to try to pick up their slack.  Bad mouthing the good you once had doesn't change your circumstance, even though I think this "former employee" is trying to do just that.

 

By the way, I am not getting paid to post this.  I was researching another company on this site when out of curriousity I typed in the name of the company I work for and stumbled upon the blatant untrue remarks of this supposed former employee.  Answering Specialists is a great place to work for and we provide one of the best phone answering service out there and I couldn't help but respond.

I'll let people read this and judge for themselves. 

Clearly our drug testing program has been a big success.  People come off very angry when they lose their jobs because they can't stay clean.  They they strike out.  I think the rant speaks for itself.
