As It Is, ANSWEROLOGY.COM Appears To Be A Haven For Stalkers, Criminals, Identity Thieves, And Abusers. I have been through hell and Answerology.com is protecting the offenders.

Problem:
I am a paid subscriber to a website titled: Answerology.com he site is essentially a community chat room. On or about, Sunday, February 18, 2007, I noticed a posting by another user that clearly constituted a threat to my life. I immediately reported this.

Unfortunately, the owner of the company apparently allows other users to also act as "customer service" reps and moderators - and their terms do indicate that one's personal information may be available to others. I contacted a family member who is a police sergeant in Boston and was advised by him, and subsequently an attorney, to attempt to Obtain the offender's full name so that I could provide that to the appropriate authorities.

An attempt to get the offender to call me (thereby recording his phone number and identity) resulted in a threatening call from, unfortunately, a payphone. I again notified Answerology.com customer service. In response to at least one such email, I received a bogus quote clearly intended to make me feel as if I deserved to be threatened.

When I attempted, and my attorney attempted, to contact other users through my account who are friends and could likely identify the offender, my account was restricted to prevent such contact. This restriction is allowing someone who has announced intentions to "beat me to a pulp," and who apparently has a connection to a customer service rep at Answerology, to avoid legal repercussions.

It is absurd that any company - and particularly ANSWEROLOGY - would allow a crime to occur and then protect the culprit. Moreover, I am now being wrongly punished by them, kept in fear of my life, and am the victim also of unfair business practice.

I therefore seek the immediate unrestriction of my account, a full apology from the owner and customer service of Answerology.com, and payment for any and all costs associated with this experience, AND A BAN OF THOSE THAT ARE OTHERWISE ALLOWED TO MAKE CRIMINAL THREATS. I understand that a few people have actually been injured whom have been members of the site.

I further want this complaint to serve to protect others that may fall prey to criminals that appear to be protected by Answerology.com. I will withdraw this complaint only after these requests are met. Until then it shall remain open and public for all to see. Thank you.
