I retained AnswersBy.com to help me solve a problem I was having with a Gateway laptop computer. After spending several hours on the phone with them, they determinined that the brand new hard drive I had purchased and installed for the laptop was defective. So after three weeks of complaints and disagreements I got the hard drive replaced. I installed the new hard drive and came up with the same errors that had previously been encountered. I then asked for a full refund as they told me that I needed to take my computer to a repair technician. They said they would only charge me for one incident and refund me the balance. Well the one incident charge happen to be $99.99, so my refund for them doing absolutely nothing is going to be $50.00 out of $149.99 they initially charge me for their retention.
