I live in a county that has almost two million people, and signed up for Anthem Blue Cross at the beginning of a year, of course checking to see who was covered before enrolling. It turns out, AFTER I paid for the insurance, that barely anybody accepts the health insurance in this entire city, and that the website information was inaccurate.

I filed a complaint, and received a letter AFTER signing up and paying for my family for two months, stating that thier website information may not be accurate.

Now I have a sick toddler and not a single urgent care center in this ENTIRE city accepts my health insurance (the only one that does will not see kids under twelve. They suggested we go to the ER instead. Additionally, we are getting bills for doctors that were supposed to be covered. This insurance is close to a thousand dollars a month and is not even partially subsidized. We are going to have to take them to small claims court to deal with this issue, and have changed our insurance plan.

I advise everyone signing up for health insurance plans to take screen shots of all the providers listed before signing up if this happens... we spent thousands on something we could not use, and were completely deceptive in our signing up.
