Anthony Berry ripped me off on ebay of $9290 and sent worthless junk Bangor Maine

I sent him a cashiers check for $9290 and was told
by Anthony that I would recieve the cd's very
soon, over a month later they all arrived, all
of them were wortless junk cd's of no name artists.
Most of them were cutouts and defective copies
and store returns. About half were busted pretty
bad due to poor shipping boxes and poor taping.
He had 20,000 cd's in all and he said before he
sent mine that he had sold the last 10,000 cd's to
a friend in town. What he did was sell the good
ones that I won to his friend and sent me the worthless
junk. He used the usps to do it and commited mail
fruad.
If you look at his feedback he has ripped many others
off as well.

Based on the ebay auction... Its even dumber to be paying at a minimum what the ebay auction said.
Basically, what you got is what anybody should expect from such a auction.
Buying that much volume is stupid to do it anyway other than in person.
My friend who lives in NC who buys/sells cd's (is a used product dealer) does exactly that and never ever buys by remote.
In fact he usually, personally inspectes 100% of what he buys (about 10,000 units per month, and often its cd's or dvd's).
If he doesnt inspect himself, he has family members who personally judge value.
In those cases they often judge only perfect product.
Personally I think you ripped yourself off, both by amt and by quality & content.
I myself own over 3000 audio and 300 dvd's and would never ever consider buying such high volume without personal review or guarantees of the deal.
If seller wasnt willing to escrow or otherwise guarantee, walking away would have been wise.
I personally buy/sell books, and rarely will consider ebay for a source of used books supply.
But then I dont need to. Locally I have more than enough source to get large volume from.
In fact, locally I could probably get twice the cd's that the auction specified for a lot lot less.

First off, for a purchase that large, not protecting your self by using the known ways is stupid.
2nd, using paypal (whether seller or buyer) isnt wise..
Btw, Paypal does not protect the buyer, hardly.
They do in fact protect the seller more.
To buy anything in large amt is not wise.
I myself have over 2000 cd's and would never ever consider a large volume buy off any website (like ebay) no matter what.
Based only on the ripoff comments here, it was not too intelligent to even participate in the auction of those cd's.

Seller did accept paypal. Said so right on auction site. As much as I hate paypal it would have come in handy for a purchase this large. It would have offered you some protection against getting damaged items. As for his feedback that should have given you a clue right there.

You could have paid via credit card or anything else.. If the seller required 'guaranteed funds' then you should have walked away.. 'guaranteed funds' is guaranteed to rip you off.
The reason that sellers don't want to deal with Paypal is because it protects the buyer. Plain and simple.

I have looked at the auctions. Both of you have a HORRIBLE feedback history, you seem to make it a habit of ripping people off yourself.
You have been on ebay long enough and scammed enough people to know that this seller's ad doesn't sound/look kosher. Plus, look at his feedback. It's terrible. Just like yours.
Maybe if you stopped ripping your customers off, you wouldn't get ripped off yourself. Just a thought. This is a classic example of the Pot calling the Kettle black.
