Recently I ordered (via phone and from a mail-order catalog) "Anthony Richards Clothing," a skirt. Included in the bundle of advertising enclosed in my shipment is a small letter describing that NOW my credit card will be automatically charged $29.99 monthly for "Passport to Health".
Health is in no way related to my clothing order and I certainly DID NOT affirm or acknowledge an additional monthly charge on my CC for 'health insurance.' I'm concerned about how many ... particularly elderly ... persons may order clothing and are being charged unbeknownst to them, this monthly CC fee.
Isn't this FRAUD ??!!! What can we do?
