When we started working with Anxiety Institute, I was informed that it would be a one-month outpatient treatment program for my son. However, as the month ended, they insisted that he absolutely needed another month. After completing that, they stated he required at least one more week. Upon finishing that week, they reluctantly agreed he could conclude the treatment but noted he would still require additional therapy with them. Today, he feels the treatment did nothing for him, and I believe it was an incredible waste of $70,000. Afterward, when they realized no more money was coming to them, they did not care, and there was no follow-up from them. In addition, the referral to SJ Health Advocates to collect the money from the insurance company was a complete waste.  They did nothing and barely got 10% as a reimbursement when it should have been 70%. Be careful of any outpatient service that cares more about making money than your child. There must be a better plan for children in need. Unfortunately, this was not one of them.
