Here's the deal. A friend of a friend said that they always say their vehicles are broken-down so they can dispatch somewhere else, make more money and leave you there with no other option but to wait. See if this scenario fits my situation....

We reserved a small limo for 5-6 people to pick us up at the Joliet Speedway on a Friday night and take us back to Chicago. First of all, the closest place they would pick us up was literally a mile from where we were in relation to the stadium...so we had to walk with a large cooler and chairs all that way.

Secondly, after rushing to make it ON TIME, the driver calls me and tells me he is in Joliet and he would not be there for about 30 more minutes due to "traffic." OK, so you're late. I call the driver about 15 minutes later to ask if there was somewhere else we should go to make it easier for him to pick us up. I asked him where he was and he said he was "just passing I-355?" When I asked him again to make sure I heard him correctly, he said he was on I-55 south passing I-355?

Ok, so that means you're not going to even be in the area for another 45 minutes AND YOU LIED TO ME the first time we spoke since you're in Bolingbrook, not Joliet!

So my wife calls the company and the OWNER answers. He immediately asks why she is calling his cell phone, is very rude to her and hangs up after telling her to call the other number!! NICE MANAGEMENT!

She calls another number to ask if there is anything else they can do for us in the form of a discount since we had already been waiting for more than a half an hour. The worker at the office(who is even more rude) now says that our original limo had broken down and that it is in their contract and website that they don't have to do anything. That was the first mention of a breakdown so they could cover themselves and not have to refund our money.

Then he says he sent a Hummer Limo instead that is much larger and more expensive, so there would be no discount. I didn't ask for that, I asked for transportation for 5 people and to be picked up ON TIME!! We waited in the middle of nowhere for almost 2 hours before the limo came.

I called and spoke to the owner again on Monday to try to come to an agreement and he was rude again, kept talking over me and then hung up on me. After he hung up on me I left him a message with my phone number for him to resolve the issue asking him to at least refund the MANDATORY gratuity of 20%. I haven't heard from him. Surprise.
