My wife contacted this company to reapir the garage door opener at our new home (their phone number was attached to the system, so she figured they must be OK)....they came to the house the next day to simply replace 2 torsion springs and some small rollers, it took them about 40 minutes to install. They billed us for over $1,100 for this very minor repair! My wife did some research & checked with other garage door companies & they confirmed her suspicion that this company had outrageously stolen from her.

 Apparently, the parts for this work only cost at most about $100 and the labor for less than hour of work might be $80. When we learned of this outrage, we called the compant,a ssuming the manager would share our concern & correct what we hoped was either an accounting error or the treachery of an individual unscrupulous employee taking advantage of a woman who knows very little about garage door openers. To my shock & amazement, the MANAGER of this company told us that, "why did you agree to pay if you knew it was too much? It's not our fault if you're too stupid to know any better!" She inisted that the manager proivide us with an itemized bill for all expenses incurred includeing prioces charged for parts & labor & our requests were not only ignored but were actually scoffed at!

That was the end of the conversation!! My wife & I are both FURIOUS over this & can't understand how a company like this can survive! Surely this must be their business model....preying on consumers who are not knowlegeable in garage door opener electonic systems. I have NEVER been treated so unscrupulously by a company before & there MUST be some kind of law protecting consumers from this kind of unabashed thievery!! ANYTIME GARAGE DOORS motto is "Our commitment is your satisfaction!" This would be funny if it weren't such a tragic (& costly) LIE!!

I used this company like the first post because the sticker was on the door. Charged me $85 for cables - I've yet to find anything near that much online. He told me some garbage about the quality of cables. I would believe this now if I could find any the price I just got charged. He showed me the spring broke as well and that now it's federal law to install two and they are each $165. As with the cables, I haven't found any that expensive either. If they are going to raise their prices on parts this insanely the least they can do is give you a break on the install witch was $125. I paid $500 for something I think should have cost maybe $300. That was with him giving me a 10% discount because of the sticker. As he was leaving told me to spray the steel sides and spring with silicon spray but was honest enough to admit they "aren't suppose to tell people that though because it lengthens the life of the springs." When he said this I knew he ripped me off.  My door wouldn't open and our car was inside - we had to get his done tonight in order to go to work tomorrow. It's unbelievable people still do business this way.

I had a very similar experience! I am contacting channel 8. They need more people to come forward to make this a story! Please help me by calling Consumer Relation Dept. at channel 8. Their phone number is 702-650-1197.
