Complaint Review: ANZ Group

ANZ Group Happy Baby Store Stole our money. I made a purchase in September, HappyBabyStore, ANZ, charged our credit card, shipped nothing, said that we would get a refund and have not dones so yet Internet, New Jersey

In September of 2009 I made a purchase for Christmas for my two children using ANZ Group, aka Happy Baby Store online store.  I discovered something to be much cheaper through them than it is here and a couple of other items which I have yet to see in Canada.  I was elated.  The credit card was charged immediately.


In October I contacted the company and asked if the items had been shipped.  Bob Gates informed me that almost half of my order (totaling $203.49 USD) was out of stock and someone should have gotten back to me.  I asked what was in stock and received no response.  I asked for a refund in full and was told by Boris Zaks that it would be processed.  It is the end of November now and there is still no credit applied to the credit card.


I have numerous emails telling me that they have refunded the card but the credit card company disagrees.  They say that they did make an attempt which they say was not accepted by the credit card company.  The amounts differed so it would not be accepted.  I was told on the phone by the card company that the amounts had to match exactly and believe that the difference is possibly the exchange rate.  I told them what I had been told on the phone and how to calculate.  They seem to think that an attempt, which is not recognized by the card company, is sufficient.


I have received very few responses to my emails to the company and they do not return my phone calls.  I have kept phone bills and emails and want my money back which equates to about $225CDN. 


ANZ/Happy Baby does not make me so happy.  They are unprofessional.  They have stolen my money and lied to me.  I feel betrayed.
