I signed up with AOL on August 21, 2002 a 45 day free trial. I called them 2 weeks later and cancelled the trial. On September 21, 2002 I got my billing statement for my credit card used to sign up on AOL, and AOL had billed me for the free trial.

I called and told them that I wanted it off my bill, and they said they would take care of it. On October 16, 2002 while checking my credit card status online, I found that AOL had billed my card yet another time for the same thing. I called yet again on the 16th and told them again, once more they assured me that it would be taken care of.

On October 21, 2002 I was checking my credit card online again, and once more, yes for a 2nd time, I was billed for the same thing yet again, and this time the credit card company billed a $15 overlimit fee.

How many times can a company bill you for a service that you have cancelled prior to the free trial going out???? In my opinion, AOL doesn't need to be in business!!! They will try and cheat you out of money any way they can.
