In July, 2005, I signed up for a free trial of AOL because I wanted to try their music-downloads site. I was looking for music videos but they didn't have anything of interest to me so I cancelled within a few days via telephone.

In August I checked my bank account and found that they had debited $23.90 from my account for their service AFTER I had cancelled. I faxed in a cancellation form and they credited my account.

Then in September they debited my account AGAIN for $23.90. This time I was FURIOUS because I live on a budget and their debit of $23.90 costed me $25 for the bank to cover the debit because I didn't have the money in my account to cover it.

I called and spoke with a guy named Jason who absolutely refused to take no for an answer when I told him I wanted to cancel. He kept offering another free trial, blah, blah, blah. He told me he would credit my money back to my account, kept on about the free trial, etc, so finally I said, "FINE!" The whole time he was talking, I was typing a letter of cancellation to AOL once again and faxed it as soon as I hung up.

It is the middle of October now and I have not heard anything from AOL nor have I received my credit. I don't need AOL! I already have cable modem!
