AOL AMERICA ONLINE ripoff abused & mistreated, dirty SOB's, the business that doesn't give a dam *UPDATE thank you Rip-off Report, you got me my money back!
WARNING TO ALL!!!!!!! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FREE TRIAL UNTIL YOU KNOW FOR SURE YOU CAN CONNECT!!!!
I have recently tried the 45 day "free" trial for AOL. The software was not working right, so in 45 days I used less than 2 hours of service and had forgotten about the account within a week. (Why keep using it if it doesn't work?) I had called them to cancel and was instead given MORE free time on the web. They didn't want to cancel my account like I had asked.
About 2 1/2 monthes later I go to pay my phone bill with my credit card and the money is gone. AOL took it. I called to get it back (I'd used less than 2 hours in almost 3 months) and I was told tough sh*t. They kept $22 of my SSI check for about an hour and a half of crappy access. The service was so bad that after signing in I'd try to load my hotmail account and it litterally took 5 minutes to load the home page and even longer to get into the box.

THANX AGAIN RIP-OFF REPORT!!!!!!!!!!! Immediately after posting my comment I looked at some of YOUR comments and decided to call AOL one last time. As a result of my being able to quote your reports to the service manager I spoke with (nice guy too) I GOT MY MONEY BACK!!!! Was told it'll be in my account within 5 bus. days. will post again to let you know if I DID get it back. THANKS AGAIN FOLKS
