After a long conversation with a senior manager at Chase I was told AOL can get your new number by continued billing of the old number, further more I was told that by changing the number on my credit card AOL won't close the account because I no longer have the original last 4 digits of the credit card they have on file from 1999.

Apparently AOL wants to make it hard to close an account. They have billed me nearly $2000 over 7 years on an account I never used and closed over 6 years ago.

To make it worse when I finally got them to get the charges off and credit my account I got a letter from AOL telling me my account is past due and would be sent to collections. How they hell they got my new address I have no clue. I have moved 4 times since 1999.

When I finally thought I had this resolved I got my bill with 3 months of AOL past billings on the bill. The guy from Chase told me the only way to get this to end is to close my chase account and wait a few month to reopen it so it has nothing to do with my old account.

Next week I am going to small claims court and filing a lawsuit against AOH**l.

This is a 100% true story. If I read it I would never believe it either..but I kid you not this is true!
