When I signed up for AOL the enrolled me in a free trial of AOL Net Market and AOL Alert. I canceled both of these membership ASAP right away so I wouldnt be charged. Well they charged me for both and because I wasn't expecting $79.99 each to coem out of my account I was charged $40 in NSF fees.

I called AOl to have them refund me the carges and they told me to give my bank a code and they would reverse the NSF fees , the bank told me there was no such code. I called AOL from the bank and they told me that they would refund the $40 as well. I never got it. I called serveral times again a different story every time. I go tfed up with it and canceled my service only to unlock a new set of problems.

When you cancel they respond by giving you 2 free months. I fell for it thinking that I could recoup the $40 I was out. After the 2 months was up I canceled again and was given 2 more free months. I've been doing this since March. But the last time I called in to cancel they told me I had to go to Keyword Rewards to get my free service. So I did. This was in May.

I've was charged for the free service on May 2, June 2 and August 3. All three months were supose to be free and I did what the rep told me to do. WHen I called in to see why I was being charged they told me it was because I did not redeem my rewards-which I had. I said that they were not authorized charges and that I wanted them refunded. The customer service told me that they would charge me for the free service anyway.

I've done some research on aol charges and found that they do this to alot of people. I have contacted the BBB and the attorney generals office regarding these issues.
