The customer service representative to whom I spoke when trying to cancel my own "subscription" couldn't even find my current address in their files. So I take it they can find the information needed to "prove" that someone signed up for their "service" just fine, they just can't keep their database current. How convenient for them! Seems to me that an alleged credit reporting service, of all things, should be able to keep tabs on something as basic as an up-to-date address.

There IS no "service." Seems to me a legitimate company would make it as simple as possible for its customers to contact them. Go ahead; try a simple Google search on "AOL Credit Alert" and see whether you get any kind of homepage or contact information. What you'll get is links to consumer complaints sites like this! Twelve results pages of them, at the time I'm writing this!

Please, let's see more rebuttals from AOL Credit Alert employees. I'd like to see you successfully defend this fraud.
