I just got my bank statement for July and found that I had been billed $79.99 for a year's membership in AOL Credit Alert that I had canceled in April immediately after receiving their paperwork and deciding that it wasn't for me. I was told when I called that there would be no problem and my subscription would be canceled and no charges would be made to my account. This time, I called again only I was pretty mad. I spoke to a customer service representative named Ronda and told her that I wanted the $79.99 refunded back into my account immediately. She told me that without a confirmation number she could only refund $73.63.

She also said that she didn't believe I called in April since the credit alert had only been started for me in April. I told her that I didn't care what she believed and the money had better be put back into my account or I would be reporting them to the credit card fraud division of Oregon and we would go to court. She was very unpleasant and gave me a confirmation number and said my money would be refunded within 15 days.
