AOL Credit Alert Credit Alert RIP OFF Internet

After belonging to AOL, I finnally canceled due to that fact we could no longer get connected where we live. Now about 4 months later I get billed for the "AOL Credit ALert". I called, the cusotmer service rep says I must have ordered it or someone else did.

I said I would never order it, and my wife would never order it. She asked me if I got my membership packet in the mail, I said no I did not. SHe readily agreed to credti my account, when I told her it appears that it was ordered either the day or day after I canceled my AOL account. So we will see if the credit appears next month.

As a side comment, when I cancelled my AOL account the rep was very verbally abusive and condesending.

okay, i'm an employee of trilegiant corperation dba aol credit alert/privacy guard/privacy source. Just a bit of information for all of you people bitching about us "stealing" your money, you are insane. We all sit around and laugh at you people on our breaks. How could someone be so retarded to sign up for something and not know it, you DID sign up for our service(we have proof), stop lying and just admit it, you f**ked up now you have to pay the consequences. DON'T tell us to pay your overdraft charges...we won't! so don't waste your breath. as for the AOL customers, if you don't want the service, don't sign up for AOL because you'll probably be enrolled. And finally, the service is to protect you against identity theft and we can't be that bad if 73% of the customers like the service. For the rest of you...watch your back because someone WILL get your social security # and open fraudulent accounts, so say bye-bye to your good credit when you cancel the service. Sometimes I wonder how you dumbasses actually survived this long just signing up for every service that was offered to you. Good luck!
