I cancelled my AOL service in December of 2002. Then I notice on my bank statement that they took out in January. I was furious. I called and cancelled again. This time they said they did cancel my service but I had two services. Well, a single mother of 4 minor children, with only one computer doesn't need two accounts. I told them that I never authorized them to take any more money from my account.

They think because they have my account number and automatically take it out every month, that that must mean they can have access anytime they like to my bank account. I cancelled sevice three times. Then I called my bank and asked them to review the AOL account and the funds being taken out. In June of 2002 they started stealing from me. Every single month they took out twice. In December they closed one account and continued to steal a payment every month from January 2003 thru april 2003 I havent received mays bank statement yet.

I intend to write letters and notify anyone and everyone I can of the theives that AOL are. Don't give them any account numbers. They think that means it is a joint account with them. If anyone knows how to get more attention to this matter please let me know. We don't need huge companies stealing from regular citizens!
