AOL Huge hassle to cancel the account Internet

Aol sucks for very many reasons but the main reason being the harrassment one must go through to cancel an account. I spent 2 hours on the phone with the illiterate staff they hire for beans in florida. They are a bunch of ignorant, worthless and helpless individuals. This is the nicest thing I have to say about AOL. If you want real internet service then subscribe to Verizon. Verizon knows how to take care of their customers.

I had the same thing happen with Compuserve which is owned by AOL. I finally canceled my credit card by telling them I lost it. Compuserve wouldn't stop the charges and the credit card company said since I had originally approved them they couldn't stop them. They stopped immediately when the card was canceled. :-)
