I along with MANY others have been deceptively mislead by AOL. I had their free service once, then had some hassels cancelling. This time, I paid for their comparatively outrageously expensive service for almost a year. Then I checked online for a way to cancel. I found a site that allowed me to cancel via email.

The Next month I checked my bank statement, and noticed they charged me again. When I called they stated there was no way to cancel AOL via email, and that I had to pay that last payment, but they would cancel it that day. After arguing with them for some time, they pass the customer to someone else so they can be initiated into the abusive missappropriation of funds that is AOL Netmarket.

I have warned a few friends of the dangers of AOL, but there discs litter the Earth, and seem like such a good deal, free for 45 days, so many people use them, and then get unwittingly ripped off.

I could not explain to my friends, because I never got a good explanation as to exactly why i was charged $69.99. Was it because I joined AOL Netmarket, Or because I cancelled AOL, I just don't know; and their clueless employees are little help.

It has been 7 days, and they said my $69.99 would be refunded in 10 days. and I hope it is so, because I am waiting to write a late check as sool as AOL Netmarket give me the money they took. To Hell with Aol, and Good luck to everyone who still has to deal with them!
