I signed up with AOL online services using the 1025 free minutes disk while on business and know I did not use up all my minutes or reach the 45 day maximum where I would be billed. Since I was only on business for a set number of days.

AOL service was very poor, downloading time was at a snail's pace. Then 3 months later I realized AOL was billing my credit card for 3 cycles for which I did not use.

They also told me that regardless of whether I had used all of the 1025 minutes or 45 day maximum, they automatically charge their customers what they call a "pre-paid" amount.

Therefore I'm out $60 and they will only refund the past month. If I had not looked at my credit card statement closely I would have been charged indefinately!

I had bad service from them before but thought I'd give it another go. I have a doctorate degree and still I was duped by their dishonesty, I wish I could do more to help other consumers!
