I noticed About $400.00 missing from my bank account. I went to the bank and found AOL had removed money from my bank account without reason or authorization. I called their company repeatedly and spoke with 25 or 30 reps of different nature and attitude. I was very angry. Chrstmastime 2001 and I have checks bouncing from the unexpected withdrawal. I close my bank account after they reimburse me for $200 with a promise of several months of free AOL. They then ask me for my new account number. Right. I think if AOL is this dishonest and has their hands in the pockets of millions of unsuspecting American it is a tragedy. Some people wouldn't notice the missing money. I e-mailed Steve Cases office in Texas. I guess we paid for his vacation after he stepped down as CEO. I closed my account and still wonder if I'll ever get the balance of the money owed to me. Maybe? It was such a headache. I was happy to find this site. Please keep this up to warn others and seek justice in the place we call America of-line.
