AOL is ripping off people constantly with their deceptive advertisement of FREE hours of use. I purchased a computer with the offer of 6 months of FREE AOL included. I did all the appropriate steps to contact AOL to set up the service and even had the service for 1+ month.

Then I get a bill from AOL online saying I owed them for service. SO I call AOL, and they say they never spoke to me about setting up a FREE account. I faxed them a copy of the information used to set up the service. I spoke with the company I purchased the computer through, and they referred me back to AOL.

AOL says they will take care of it. Instead on my next credit card bill I am charged for 4 months of service, and yet my account is frozen. I can't get into my e-mail or anything else. I call them 4 more times, and I get nowhere.

Now that they received my money, they have no interest in speaking with me about myu issue.
To boot, when I phoned last, the customer service representative had the nerve to try to transfer me to some other company that was offering some FREE offer through AOL>

I laughed at her and asked why I would believe anything from AOL is free as I am paying for their FREE AOL INTERNET SERVICE> She apparently didn't understand why I didn't want to talk about this other offer.
