AOL ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing Jacksonville Florida
Aol sent me a free trial disk to try their service for 45 days.
When i set up the service on july 20 I read that there was no obligation to keep service. I was not satisfied with the service so after 2 weeks of using service we cancelled it.
As with the other complaints I have read, to my suprise i checked on my checking account balance and $23.90 was charged to my account from AOL. When i called Aol they said that service was never cancelled and without a cancellation number then charges were legit. It is now 09-19-02 and after being transfered thru 3 different rude reps, I was told the service was cancelled by one
of previous reps and I still have no cancellation number.
They tell me I have no way to recover my charges and even though i have paid up to October 3, I have no access to the service even if I wanted to use their sorry service. I guess I can only hope that I will not be charged again becuase I still have no cancellation number.
