On March 18, 2004 by mother passed away. I called on the 19 to have the account closed. The person was very rude and told me that she had service till April 16. That in order to cancel the account I would be sent some papers to fill out. I recieved the paper and all it said was I had to send in a death certificate. I find that strange since I didn't have to do that with cable, electric, phone or any other. I did send it in.

In the mean time I found on the December Discover bill that she paid for a year. I have not had the time because of other pressing items to go any farther till today I received two letter from AOL saying that you agreed on 3/20/04 and the other letter 3/19/04 to continue your AOL Membership. When I called tonight and after a 6 minute hold talking to Cindy she was no help except saying that they would send a letter out saying the account was canceled. I ask to speak to a supervisor and had to hold 9 minutes. He was no help either saying there was no record of an account or that she had paid.

My next step I quess to to contact Discover. With all I have to do because of her death I think this is unnessary of a company to act this way. The other part is the two letter that says they talked to my mother. If they can they are much better than I.

Thank you
